It’s a new year and with a new year comes resolutions! One of my resolutions was to blog at least once a week. I haven’t talked to Su about this resolution but if she also makes that resolution, you’ll hopefully have at least 2 posts a week. Of course, I’m typing this at 1:30am and squeaking in so we might want to give her some leeway for this first week.
It’s been so long after my travels, there will be some hopping around on my posts, it won’t be linear. I had originally planned on posting about my little jaunt to Naples, the first stop in my Italy adventures but decided since this is the first post for 2017 (gasp, seriously, where has the time gone?) I would like to do a quick picture retrospective of the year in Lu Lu.
Su and I live in different parts of the country but I see her more than I see some of my local friends, lol. The photo at the top was taken in Venice. I have to say, we look great in mustaches. I might have to grow mine out. OK, who are we kidding, I’m asian, haha, my brothers can’t grow one!
The year for us started in March. We went to Scotland for our friends’ wedding. Someone asked me who gets married in Scotland in March? My response, “Scottish people.” One of these days I’ll finish blogging about our time there but not today.
When we went to Vietnam, you couldn’t tell we were there because all of our pictures were selfies, so this was us, trying to get the background in the photo. Only problem is, my head is ginormous compared to Su’s. This is us walking thru Glasgow. Does the photo scream Scotland to you? We tried!
Of course the highlight of our trip was the wedding! We didn’t get a pic with the bride and groom but we still got our Scotsman in a kilt! Yes, his legs look better than mine.
In May I was driving thru Texas on my way to FL so Su joined me at one of my stops so we could make a totally goofy video, which you can see here.
Even tho I was going to see her in August, Su still came to visit me while I was in Orlando in July. Of course, what better way to celebrate being reunited than in a song? Yes, we’re singing Air Supply.
This is us on our way back from dinner in Rome. The things Su said can’t be repeated but that’s genuine laughter and I always love photos with real laughs (even tho I’m the queen of the cheesy smile).
And last but not least, Su came out to visit me when I came home in Dec. It was a quickie trip but a little Su goes a long way. 🙂 We wanted to go to my dad’s to take pictures on the beach. Unfortunately, our timing didn’t work out quite the way we planned so we were late to dad’s but early to the ferry. What to do when sitting in the car waiting for a ferry? Take photos of ourselves and sing carpool kroaky! And lucky you, when I get them edited, it will be available for your entertainment. We weren’t able to sing one song completely thru that sounded good, so we’re going to make a montage, lol.
Here’s a bonus photo just because I love it. I hope that you are all as lucky as Su is, to have a friend do her hair, LOL.
Here’s to a fabulous 2017! What new adventures will it bring? I can’t wait to find out! First up for me is a trip in March to Vietnam. What are you looking forward to in 2017?
FYI, I edited the template to our blog. I think sometimes I spend more time editing the blog theme than writing posts but this new one is a fun one. Still want to make some tweaks but this is it, until I change it again…
