Carpool Kroaky: American Girl

A couple of weekends ago a couple of the gals were in town so we loaded up a couple of cars and headed to the beach. The drive was over an hour long and we needed to keep ourselves entertained somehow. The thing with karaoke is, they show us the words. Turns out, other than the opening lyrics, we only knew the chorus so I cut down a lot of the head bobbing to make it a much shorter video, your ears and eyes will appreciate it, the lighting was harsh! You might have appreciated the singing more if Ana and Betsy were in the front seat (how adorable are those two?), Su and I are loud (and not quite as adorable) but you get what you get! Unfortunately, Najie drove home after the beach so she didn’t get to be a part of the carpool fun. Don’t worry, there’s always a next time!

And getting in on some carpool karaoke action is the USA Olympic Swim Team. It doesn’t have quite the magic that the Call Me Maybe video had but I still loved watching it. They did steal one of the songs we plan on doing in the future but we will forgive them this time.

This turned out to be quite the Patriotic post. Go Team USA! Beat the Martians! If I had cable I would definitely be watching the Olympics but since I don’t, I spent yesterday binge watching Downton Abbey. What a wonderful way to wrap up a series!

LOL reminds me of the drive back to Glasgow. On the way out Su was navigating and was all, no radio we need to concentrate. On the way back it was 80’s and Su in the back seat saying turn this one up!

Yeah, if I’m driving in Scotland, we won’t be rocking out. I will have a death grip on the wheel and Sue will have a death grip on her seat belt!
